We started off the morning yesterday getting ready for a big day of snorkeling. Tokapae came to pick us up in his dingy to take us to two different islands for some beautiful snorkeling and diving. We were whizzing really fast over TWO METER wave in a TINY DINGY and I was terrified as we were going out into the open ocean with deep water and big waves with not much land. I told dad that if we survived this trip I would still punish him severely, but he just laughed. The snorkeling was definitely worth it. We first stopped at a very small island quite out to sea and started snorkeling in a little cove. We saw lots of fish and awesome coral and darc didn't want to get out of the water. Eventually we went to the same coral gardens that we went to the other day but a bit further up. The snorkeling there was the best snorkeling I have ever done and probably ever will do. I just can't describe it. Imagine the best possible thing and times it by 78. We dove through under water passages through the coral and when you came to the end of the reef it just drops straight down into the blue ocean with fish and sharks. We saw turtles, fish of all colours shapes and sizes, a giant clam with green flouro lips and amazing big sea anemones. The water was so clear if you looked at someone it seemed like they were floating in air rather than underwater.
After 3 hours we finally got into the dinghy and went down to the point so dad could have a dive around and try and find the missing camera that he dropped. No such luck.
For the rest of the day we read our books and mum and I went for a kayak and a paddleboard.
Today we woke up and I felt fine until after breakfast when I suddenly threw up into the bushes. Mum, dad and darc went for a swim down at the tree but I cant tell you much about that as I didn't go due to sickness. When they came back two girls, Roselina and jenny came to play card games. After the card game I was feeling slightly better so we went beach coming and collected beautiful shells to bring back home to keep for me and take some to my friends. When we came back some people from the village came and set up all these beautiful exotic carvings to show us. The carvings ranged from dolphins and sharks and turtles to bracelets with nautilus shell engraving and bowls and salad servers. D'Arcy and I both got a necklace while mum, after much bargaining and swapping, got some salad servers and a lovely bowl, she also gave up her watch for a smaller bowl.
We are now playing games and reading books excited for what might come tomorrow. I'm feeling better and just ate my fresh lobster dinner!
Bye-bye ;)
