All The Beauty We Could Ask For

We survived!
The trip getting to Seghe then Peava was scary but worth it. we got a taxi from our hotel and drove to the airport only to find out that it was delayed by three hours as it had not yet left the place before Honiara. I was getting more and more nervous each minute, when the Twin Otter (the plane) did come i was terrified. we got into the plane with the tiny seats and the roof that you hit your head on and sat sat. Takeoff was super scary but then i looked out at all the islands and the gorgeous aqua blue water. Then we came to land and all my fears were coming back, darcy's favorite bit of the flight was when she got to tease me at being scared. We landed on the grass landing strip, unloaded our stuff and made our way over to the little boat jetty. A local man from Peava (Tokapea)had come to pick us up in his dingy, the dingy was similar to a normal tin dingy but was very long and thin and red. Mum made darc and i wear our life jackets and i can now see why. we had a smooth ride but it was very dark and we couldn't see much at all except the beautiful biolumenesence (some light animals in the sea) and the stars. by the end of the boat ride we were in open ocean so the waves were quite big and the driver was going all out on the motor so we were blasting through the waves at top speed, it was terrifying. we loaded our bags into the house, ate dinner and went straight to sleep.
the next day we went through the village to a huge tree with ropes attached to it then we swung and jumped all day long, went back to the house and read our books.
Today we started the morning at the tree and played frisbee with some local kids then went back to the house to get ready to go snorkeling. Tokapea, who drove us here, picked us up in his boat and then we took off to an island across from Peava.
The snorkeling was AMAZING. so much different colored coral and beautiful fish in awesome aqua blue water. there was only one word for it. AMAZING.The snorkeling there is considered some of the best snorkeling in the world and you can see why. We swam back to the dingy and as dad was helping mum in the boat the Go-Pro fell of the Go-Pro holder on dads wrist and sunk to the bottom. We were all really disappointed as there were so many awesome photos and videos on there i was going to post so you all could see the amazing beauty of the reef but unfortunately, no photos.
On our way back to Peava dad put out a fishing rod with a huge lure to try catch a big fish but luck was not on his side today.
We are now all just relaxing. Mum and Dad are sitting on the bench on the beach, darc is reading and I am blogging.
BYE-BYE ;)

PS. Can't send photos on the satellite but will post some when back somewhere with Wifi.
