An Eventful Time

Yesterday we went snorkeling again, this time off the beach out front of our bungalow. We had to venture out through shallow coral, change from our shoes into our flippers while being thrashed around the waves. D'Arcy gave up halfway through and went ashore. The rest of us went through pure pain as we got pushed onto sharp and spikey coral, it was worth it. The coral was not as good as the last snorkel but there were beautiful fish all colors. We saw a Green turtle come by as well. i like turtles as they are so chilled, they just cruise by so smoothly. Like me (Not, i'm very clumsy). We also saw two sharks which I was excited about. The rest of the day we sat and read our books.
Last night was a very interesting night. It started with D'Arcy and I doing the washing up at the bench next to the tree and D'Arcy yelled out in pain saying something bit her. I got my torch and had a look under the platform that you stand on and under there I saw Huge crabs 4cm long and 4cm wide. We spent the rest of the night doing extreme washing up in our shoes as huge crabs leapt out, pinched us then went back in. When I was going to put away some glass bowls I dropped them and they smashed all over the concrete floor, it also cut my toe. After that I was talking to Darc about how much I love geckos then I got up and a gecko came flying out of nowhere then landed on me, crawled around me and down my shirt and jumped off. As I said, an interesting night.
Today in the morning we went to have a swim at the tree and when we came back dad and I came in the kayak and Darc and mum went on the paddle board. We noticed Darc and mum were having a set back but we left it alone. When they came onto the beach they said they had a run in with the bluebottles. They had sting marks on their legs.
We relaxed for the rest of the day until some kids came and asked if we wanted to play soccer. We went to play soccer but it got so hot that all the kids in the village including us went down to the tree to jump and swim in the water.
We are now all having a rest.
bye :)
